About the Research Positive Impact on our Earth
 
The Human Factors and Performance Team targets improvements in daily living and keeping ground and space based workers healthy, nourished, productive and safe. The team is developing solutions that can reduce performance decrements arising from habitability, environmental, behavioral and physiological factors.

The team is addressing:

  • Optimal lighting
  • Scheduling of work and sleep
  • Computer and machine displays and controls
  • Human-robot interactions
  • Airborne hazards and particle deposition in the lung
  • Food requirements and quality assurance
